After dinner, we will visit one of the pubs in downtown for a drink. Since the next day is an adventure day in Serbia we will not be staying late, as we have to get up very early.
DAY 2: A TRIP TO THE BUNGALOWS AND GOOD FOOD
After a good breakfast in downtown, the transport that has already been arranged will take you to Mountain Tara. Where the real Adventure in Serbia is waiting for you!
The estimated driving time is 5 hours. Upon arrival, we will organize accommodation in the bungalows and rooms. After that, it is time for dinner and an early rest and sleep.
We recommend having a good rest because the day after is going to be an exciting day.
DAY 3: RAFTING ON THE RIVER TARA
With the first rays of the morning sun coming through you will see all the beauty of the campsite and the environment, that you may not have been able to see on arrival. The camp is settled in ethnic style with wooden bungalows hidden in the shade of trees, near the Drina river that is quietly running beside it.
Breakfast time! Your stay in Belgrade is the perfect opportunity to taste the specialties of our region, local food from nearby villages: smoked ham, donuts, honey, eggs, cheese pies… food that gives you the necessary strength and energy for the adventure.
After breakfast, everyone gets neoprene suits that are specifically designed for long stays in the water. These suits will protect you from the cold water of the river Tara. You also get boots made from neoprene, lifejackets, and helmets.
Our adventure starts with departure with jeeps to Brštanovica, the rafting starting point. This place located in Montenegro, about 25 km from our camp (river Tara is the border river between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro). It is necessary to take your personal documents with you, but do not worry, our friendly guides are there to remind you of all the formalities that await you.
Upon arrival in Brstanovica, you will be informed by our licensed skippers about safety and rules and conduct on the boat. The boats we are using our professional rafting boats that have been made specifically for rafting. They are designed to withstand the rapids of the Tara River.
At the rafting, you can expect more than 30 exciting rapids (known as Ćeliije, Borovi, Varda …) that will leave you breathless. You will experience a real sense of adventure and adrenaline.
Feel free to bring your cameras along to record these exciting moments. Do not worry about the safety of your stuff, as on each boat there are waterproof bags.
If you forget to bring something to drink, feel free to lean over the boat and grasp the refreshing water of the river Tara. Its water is drinkable throughout the entire length of the basin, as river Tara is known as „Tear of Europe“.
Halfway through the descent we will have a break and see who has the courage to pass the “test of masculinity”: taking a bath in the icy waters of the tributaries of Tara river, with temperatures as low as 5°C.
After about 3 to 4 hours, we will arrive at the foot of our camp and return the equipment. We hope you enjoyed this real Adventure in Serbia
It is now time for lunch with the best specialties of our region on the menu: homemade soup, veal, lamb on the spit, salads, and more.
After lunch we will start our drive back to Belgrade. Where you will have some free time to spent in Belgrade downtown.
DAY 4: DEPARTURE
We will make sure your transport is waiting for you in front of your accommodation to drive you to the airport Nikola Tesla.
